Our Mission & VisionMission: “The Children’s Jubilee Fund exists to provide k-12 educational scholarships for low-income urban children to attend Christian Schools.
Our fund directly impacts k-12 students in our member school network Philadelphia, Norristown, Camden and Chester-Upland.Schools in the Delaware Valley who meet the standards adopted by the Board apply for and are received into membership. Scholarship funds are disbursed to Member Schools who select the recipients of the scholarships and administer the funds, according to the policies of the Board.
Vision: Proclaim Liberty, Create Hope, Change Lives.
It’s not a mystery.
Urban Public schools throughout the
United States are chronically and systemically failing.
1 out of 8 Philadelphia public school students are proficient at reading or math in
11th grade.
1 out of 6 will enroll in college after high school.
Roughly only 1 out of 4 urban young men will graduate from high school.
And the Consequences are Crippling:
Family and economic intergenerational poverty exists in urban areas.
A 2 Tier System with 3 out of 4 students trapped in a neighborhood urban public school.
So, What Kind of Education Can Solve the Problem?
A Mission Worthy of Sacrifice:
Children’s Jubilee Fund (Jubilee) exists to open the door to Christian Schooling for inner-city students.
Jubilee is a network of 22 schools where the poorest in our cities are receiving an education driven by Christ’s love and academic rigor.
How do we proclaim liberating hope in individual changed lives?
280 partial scholarships in 22 member schools in 2011
$1200 per student is needed to make the transition from a failing public school into the safe nurturing environment of a Christian school.
> $1.5 million in scholarships or 1,500 scholarships have impacted individual lives in Jubilee’s 14 year history.
95 % of Jubilee’s 9th graders graduate from high school four years later*
>90% college acceptance**
