Children’s Jubilee Fund Governance

An independent Board of Directors governs the work of the Children’s Jubilee Fund. The Board consists of a minimum of 7 members and a maximum of 13 members. Board members will represent, as far as possible, corporate/business, foundation, and church constituencies, as well as Afro-American, Asian, Hispanic, and White ethnic communities. Their primary role will be to oversee the custody and disbursing of the scholarship funds with integrity, efficacy and cultural understanding.

Board members’ qualifications:

Committed to and knowledgeable regarding Christian education.
Committed to urban work and ministry to youth.
Exhibit a strong personal relationship to Jesus Christ.
Have a good reputation inside and outside the church for wisdom, integrity and faithfulness.
Not hold an executive position, directly or indirectly, in a Member School.
Provide some specific role or capacity, which will benefit the work of the Board.
Board members subscribe to the Statement of Faith of the Foundation and agree to operate under the charter and by-laws (available upon request).
